Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 18, 2026

gmail-prepass ("the app") is a personal-use tool operated by Ryan Leary. This policy explains how the app handles Google user data.

Information accessed

With your authorization through Google OAuth, the app reads Gmail message metadata from the authorizing account: sender, subject, date, labels, and message snippets.

How information is used

This data is used solely to sort and summarize the inbox for the account owner's personal organization. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

Storage and retention

Data is processed and stored only on the operator's own computer. It is not uploaded to any third-party server operated by the app. Locally stored data is kept only as long as needed for inbox organization and can be deleted at any time.

Sharing and selling

Google user data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties, and it is not transferred to anyone except as required by law.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

You can revoke the app's access to your Google account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
